Catering to the service demand during the upcoming Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, China Mobile recently announced that the company is ready to release the first batch of TD-SCDMA numbers on a large-scale basis, China Business News reported. It is projected that a total of 60,000 TD-SCDMA numbers will be released in the initial phase, no later than April 2008. Up until this March, 11 companies have been awarded network access licenses, allowing a total of 15 terminal devices to access the TD-SCDMA network.
